Free Fridays at Long Beach Museums
Every Friday, admission to two museums in Long Beach is absolutely free. You can hit the Long Beach Museum of Art and the Museum of Latin American Art (Molaa) in one day, with enough time to spare for dinner in Belmont Shore or Downtown.
The Long Beach Museum of Art currently has its Robert Rauschenberg prints on display (through October 19) as well as The Frieda K. Bradsher Collection of ceramics (through October 19) and The Art of Commerce: William Livingston’s Pinhole Photographs of the Port of Long Beach (through September 28).
At Molaa, you can browse works from recognized Latin American artists in the permanent collection, Bridge to the Americas. Beginning in November, the museum will host two exhibitions, Arnaldo Roche: Brotherhood/Hermandad and “Photoshopping” and more: Molaa Collects Photo-based Art.
Long Beach Museum of Art is located at 2300 East Ocean Avenue and Molaa is located at 628 Alamitos Avenue.
